# Pluto Security comes out of stealth with $42 million to watch over AI agents and tools used at work

The start-up monitors the AI tools, plug-ins and agents employees use, and can step in mid-task when an agent asks for more access than it needs. It reports over $2 million in annual recurring revenue.

**In short:** Pluto Security came out of stealth on 13 October 2026 with $42 million: an $8.5 million seed led by TLV Partners and a $34 million Series A led by Jump Capital. It monitors the AI tools and agents employees use and can intervene when an agent acts beyond what the user intended.

## The funding

Pluto Security came out of stealth on 13 October 2026 with $42 million in total, TechCrunch reports: an $8.5 million seed round led by TLV Partners and a $34 million Series A led by Jump Capital.[^1] Skinos, the fund of Check Point co-founder Shlomo Kramer, Ansa Capital and Armis’ founders also took part.[^1] Shahar Bahat is chief executive and co-founder.[^1]

## What it does

Pluto watches the AI tools employees use at work and the parts they are built from: skills, extensions, MCP servers (connectors that let AI tools reach other apps), and the apps and agents staff build themselves.[^1][^2] It flags risky components, spots potentially dangerous agent behaviour and enforces company rules without blocking people from using AI.[^1]

It can also step in during a task, for example stopping an agent that asks for more permissions than the user intended, or making it ask for confirmation.[^1] Pluto’s site lists uses such as blocking risky skills, requiring approval before an agent can use a payment API, and allowing only trusted MCP servers.[^2]

“We’re moving from user behavior to agent behavior,” Bahat told TechCrunch.[^1]

## A free tool too

Pluto runs Plutonium, a free catalogue where anyone can look up the risk of public AI connectors, plug-ins and skills.[^1][^2]

## Customers and traction

Pluto says it began selling in April and now has more than $2 million in annual recurring revenue and over 30 enterprise customers, including Oscar Health, Workato, Sixt and AlphaSense.[^1][^2] These are the company’s own figures.

## Why it matters

As staff build their own AI tools and connect agents to company data, security teams need to see what those agents can reach. Pluto says about 60% of the risks it finds are in tools built by non-developers, with finance teams the largest source.[^1]
