# xAI releases Grok Voice 3.0 for voice agents at the same $0.08-a-minute price as before

xAI says the speech-to-speech model answers in under a second and tops an Artificial Analysis ranking. Its own figures show it behind OpenAI’s GPT-Live-1 on one customer-support test.

**In short:** xAI released Grok Voice 3.0, a speech-to-speech model for voice agents, on 14 October 2026. It is available in xAI’s Voice Agent API at $0.08 a minute, the same price as Grok Voice 2.0. Agents using grok-voice-latest were switched to it automatically.

## What xAI released

xAI published Grok Voice 3.0 on 14 October 2026 and called it “the world’s most intelligent speech-to-speech model”.[^1] It is available in the Voice Agent API “at the same price as its predecessor”, $0.08 per minute, or $4.80 an hour.[^1] Agents set to grok-voice-latest were moved to the new model automatically.[^1]

xAI says the model also powers voice mode in Grok Bot and runs in Tesla vehicles.[^1]

## Speed and scores

xAI says Grok Voice 3.0 replies in under one second.[^1] AI Weekly reports a time to first audio of 0.81 seconds, down from 1.34 seconds.[^2]

xAI’s launch post lists these results, comparing it with OpenAI’s GPT-Live-1 and Google’s Gemini 3.8 Live:[^1]

- Artificial Analysis Speech-to-Speech Index: 86.9, against 83.2 for GPT-Live-1 and 82.6 for Gemini 3.8 Live.
- Big Bench Audio: 98.5%, against 90.1% and 97.7%.
- τ-Voice, which simulates support calls with accents, noise and interruptions: 71.6%, below GPT-Live-1 at 74.5% and above Gemini 3.8 Live at 68.6%.

## How it is used

xAI says Starlink call centres handle about 20,000 calls a day with the model and resolve roughly 70% without a person.[^1][^2] These are xAI’s figures and have not been checked independently.[^2]
