How we report

1. Sourced

Every fact in a story links to where it came from: an official page (lab blog, documentation, pricing page, government notice) or a named news outlet.

2. Labelled

Each fact carries one label:

  • Confirmed: an official source says it.
  • Reported: two or more independent, named outlets say it.
  • Company claim: only the company says it. Benchmarks published by a company stay here until someone else checks them.
  • Unconfirmed: a single report. We show who reported it and what the company said when asked.

3. Checked, then approved

We use AI tools to help find sources, draft and check each sentence and number against its saved source. A named editor then approves the story. A story cannot be published until that approval is recorded for the current version.

Each story says how it was checked. "Fact-checked by" appears only when the editor checked it line by line. When the source check was done by AI, the story says "Sources checked by AI" and "Approved by". We never present an AI check as a human one.

4. Updated in public

We keep one page per story. When a fact changes, we update that page, note what changed and when, and mark corrections clearly.

What we do not do

  • We do not publish anonymous leaks.
  • We do not repeat company benchmarks as facts.
  • We do not mass-produce pages for keywords.
  • We do not fake dates, reviews, ratings or images.

When AI checks the sources

Some stories are source-checked by our AI tools, sentence by sentence, and then approved for publication by the editor without a separate line-by-line human check. Those stories say so on the page: they show "Source-checked by AI" and "Approved by" instead of "Fact-checked by". We never label an AI check as a human one.
