Question

What we set out to check

The tender’s size, rules and dates, and how it fits the wider IndiaAI Mission.

Findings

What we found

  • C-DAC’s tender page gives the reference number, the 7 October publication date and all bid dates.
  • MediaNama and WION agree on the 10,000-unit size and the 512-unit minimum per cluster.
  • An older IndiaAI page describes the 2024 tender, which also targeted 10,000 GPUs. We kept the two apart.
Discrepancies

Numbers that differ

MediaNama says the minister mentioned a first tender of 5,000; the tender page does not say this. We report it as his remark.

Method

Labels we chose and why

  • Confirmed for dates and size from C-DAC’s page.
  • Unconfirmed for the hosting rules and mission totals, each from one outlet.
Open questions

What we could not verify

  • The full tender document.
  • How many units will be bought first.

Can you help confirm one of these? Send us a source. When we find an answer, we update this note and the story, with the date.

Next steps

How we could improve this

Read the tender PDF for hosting and pricing rules, and check the bid results after 30 October.
