Research note: xAI releases Grok Voice 3.0 for voice agents at the same $0.08-a-minute price as before
How we checked Grok Voice 3.0’s price and availability and separated xAI’s benchmark claims from confirmed facts.
What we set out to check
What xAI released, where and at what price, and which performance figures come from xAI.
What we found
- xAI’s post confirms the API availability, the $0.08-a-minute price and the automatic switch for grok-voice-latest.
- The benchmark table is published by xAI. Some rows are attributed to Artificial Analysis and ServiceNow, but we did not open those sources.
- On τ-Voice, xAI’s own table shows GPT-Live-1 ahead, even though the post calls the result comparable.
Numbers that differ
None between the two sources. AI Weekly gives latency in seconds; xAI’s post says only “under one second”.
